Hi everyone,
First off, I’d like to thank everyone who played Decadungeon. As a solo developer, I feel very fortunate to have my first release hit 10k players within a week. I can’t imagine a better welcome into the Newgrounds community, and I appreciate everyone who played and left feedback. It’s all got me pumped to share my next game with you guys!
You may be wondering why some simple updates (music, Monk nerfs, and other changes) haven’t made it to the game since release. Unfortunately, the laptop I made Decadungeon on broke, and my last backup is an old build from a few weeks before release. I’ve been working hard to recover those files, but it’s likely that I won’t be able to update Decadungeon.
It’s frustrating to not be able to make simple fixes to the game, but at least it was a great lesson for me in backing up my files. If I can retrieve the data, I’d love to make changes based on community feedback and content that didn’t make it to the NG build. Until then, I’m making great progress on my next game and I can’t wait to see what you guys think!
Thanks for playing,
Jup
